On March 25, 2026, the Association of Blockchain Development (ABCD), in collaboration with HashKey Exchange, hosted a high-impact forum titled "The RWA Bridge: Navigating the 2026 Legal Frontier & Next-Gen Payments." Following the success of our previous session, “Building on Bedrock: RWA Tokenization Audit & Compliance,” this event marked a strategic "step up." While our earlier work focused on the foundational "how-to" of tokenization, The RWA Bridge successfully explored the practical application of mainland assets crossing into global liquidity via Hong Kong’s regulated infrastructure.
A Convergence of Technology and Law
The event kicked off at the HashKey Exchange in Central with a record turnout of industry leaders, legal professionals, and fintech innovators. Our facilitator, Dr. Amanda Lim, opened the proceedings by thanking HashKey for providing a venue at the heart of Hong Kong's Web3 ecosystem.
A special highlight of the opening was the live testing of eBRAM’s Cantonese-to-English translation tool. By utilizing this LawTech innovation to facilitate the session, ABCD demonstrated its commitment to fostering an inclusive and technologically advanced environment for professional exchange.
The Three Pillars of the RWA Bridge
The core of the event featured three expert sessions, each tackling a critical layer of the RWA lifecycle:
The Legal Pathway: Julianne Doe (杜律師), Partner at Hui Doe & Sum and ABCD Director, provided a definitive guide to Document No. 42 and the latest CSRC filing requirements. She detailed the "prior filing" mechanism and the "Negative List," explaining how these regulations serve as the essential legal interface for offshore issuance.
The Practical Case Study: Dr. Kenny Siu presented the groundbreaking 8028.HK Silver Tokenization project. He provided a first-hand look at how physical silver, held in high-security vaults, is being successfully tokenized on the HashKey Chain, offering a scalable model for listed companies to unlock latent asset value.
The Payment Infrastructure: Beatrice Tai from Payment Cards Group (PCG) addressed the "Last Mile" of the RWA journey. Through a data-driven presentation, she showcased how the "Fusion Bridge" and atomic settlement can reduce capital value leakage—bringing the cost of a $\$1,000,000$ transfer down from $\$410.96$ in legacy rails to just $\$0.95$ via Web3 infrastructure.
Panel Highlights: Geopolitics and AI-Driven Markets
The panel session, guided by Dr. Amanda Lim, delved into the macro-trends shaping the industry. A key focus was the recent geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the US, and Israel. The speakers concluded that such instability reinforces the strategic necessity of 24/7 on-chain liquidity, as digital asset markets remain operational even when traditional financial hours are restricted.
The discussion also touched on the OpenClaw (龍蝦) framework’s role in driving ecosystem popularity through open-source transparency, and a future outlook toward 2027, where AI Agents are expected to automate complex compliance and settlement flows.

The event concluded with a formal presentation of Certificates of Appreciation. Following the speakers' awards, 杜律師 (Julianne) assisted Dr. Amanda Lim in recognizing our ten supporting organizations, who have been instrumental in building this community:

Looking Forward: May / June at eBRAM
As we look ahead, the momentum continues to build. We are excited to announce that the next ABCD landmark event will be hosted at eBRAM in May / June 2026. This upcoming session will focus on the intersection of LawTech and digital dispute resolution in the age of RWA.
Thank you to all who joined us in making The RWA Bridge a resounding success. We look forward to seeing you again in June!
